Stories With Holes

Brad

Brad lives on the 20th floor of an apartment building. Every time he leaves, he rides an elevator from the 20th floor to street level. Every time he returns, he rides the same elevator to the 15th floor, where he leaves the elevator and walks up the remaining five flights of stairs.

Headlights

The two headlights came directly at the child in the middle of the road. It was too late for him to move. The headlights passed, and the boy was unharmed.
