On some calculators you type the degree first and then hit the trig function and on some calculators you hit the trig function first and then type in the number.
On the iPhone, if you hit "2nd" the "sin" button turns into the "sin^-1" (sine inverse) button. You need to type in the number first and then hit "sin^-1". If your calculator does not have this, you can go to wolframalpha.com and type in "sin inverse (.6) to degrees" and plug in whichever trig function you are using and the correct value.
