Mathy my mascot and I solve simple exercises concerning whole and half hours on an analog clock. We still don't use the minute hand - the clocks shown only have the hour hand, which makes it easier for children in kindergarten or 1st grade.
We tell time using "o'clock" and "half past" -- and even figure out what time it is half an hour after the given time. This lesson is best preceded by my video lesson where I explain how to tell time - whole hours and half hours, found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJqbhP_gIsk
