Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 44 Flight Engineer Scott Kelly of NASA discussed life and research aboard the orbital laboratory with CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley during an in-flight interview June 23. Now three months into his year-long mission on the station with Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), Kelly is gathering biomedical data on the long duration effect of weightlessness on the human body that will be valuable to the planning of future missions to Mars.
