# Interactive video lesson plan for: Wheel Stop Scene from my 2014 Math Rap on loop

In the video I wanted to create a scene where the wheels of my car appear to stop on camera. To do this I took one measurement of my wheel's circumference, and did a few calculations to determine I needed to drive about 28.6mph. Went out to the parkway with my wife and the math worked flawlessly!

This effect capitalizes on that fact that my camera is shooting "video" by taking about 30 pictures per second (really 29.97, but who's counting). So, if we can get the wheel to spin at a rate where one spoke moves exactly to where the next one is between each shot, the wheel will look motionless!
