Linear Algebra: Find the equation for A^n where A = [2 -1 0 \ 0 1 0 \ -3 -2 -1]. We put A in diagonal form by finding a basis of eigenvectors. The formula follows from the simpler rule for a power of a diagonal matrix. We verify the formula through A^3 by hand.
