As it's the Summer holidays, M and I have taken a 5 week trip backpacking across Mexico and Colombia.
Whilst we were in the Sierra Nevada mountain region of Colombia, we completed the Ciudad Perdida (Lost City) Trek.
This 5 day hike through thick jungle saw us wade through rivers, use rickety old cable cars and climb 1,200 steps to finally reach the Lost City.
During the expedition we slept in bunk beds and hammocks, sharing them with a variety of creatures (including millions of mosquitos).
Hope you enjoy!
p.s. The GCSE and IGCSE science videos will start again in September!
Hazel completed her undergraduate degree at St John's College, the University of Cambridge. She then did a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate of Education) before qualifying as a science teacher. She now works full time as a professional tutor and host of Science With Hazel.
Material required for Grade 9 of the new (I)GCSE syllabus (A* in the current GCSE syllabus) is included.
