Feel like exploring your inner evil? Maybe it's time to turn to the dark side.

Step 1: Find something to love
Form an emotional bond with a person, object, or cause. Dote on your desire until your attachment becomes a dangerously unhealthy obsession and the fear of losing what you love consumes you completely.

Step 2: Guard your interests
Jealously guard your desire -- by any means necessary. Use bribes and lies to manipulate others and lash out at those who question your actions -- they either don't understand what's at stake or want to steal what you love.

If your paranoia wavers, remember this mantra: everyone is out to get you.

Step 3: Feel the rage
Shut off from the world completely, so the dark side has time to fester and turn your anger into pure hate. Meditate on your hatred, so the evil flows through you and overtakes all other emotions -- even the love you once felt.

Step 4: Release your hate
Unleash your hatred! Decimate your opponents with every weapon at your disposal, as the dark side's incredible energy fills you with a power you never thought imaginable -- so satisfying!

Don't worry if your appearance changes when you turn to the dark side -- people will be too afraid of you to notice.

Step 5: Take control
Congratulations! Your transformation to the dark side is complete. Use your incredible power to rule the galaxy. Stay vigilant, though -- you never know when you'll need to crush a rebellious upstart who thinks hope still has a place in the world.

Did You Know?
The concept of a spiritual battle between light and dark is embodied in Manichaeism, a religious movement founded in the 3rd century.
