Interactive video lesson plan for: Concept Cars of the 1950's - History Documentary

Activity overview:

Concept Cars of the 1950's - Cars of THE FUTURE - History Documentary

A concept vehicle, show automobile and a prototype is a car made to showcase whole new styling and/or brand-new technology. They are often shown at motor shows to evaluate client reaction to extreme and new designs which might or could not be mass-produced. General Motors developer Harley Earl is normally accepted with inventing the principle car, and did much to promote it through its taking a trip Motorama shows of the 1950s.

Concept automobiles never enter into manufacturing directly. In modern times all would certainly need to undertake several modifications before the design is settled for the sake of functionality, safety and security, regulative compliance, and cost. A "production-intent" car, in contrast to a concept car, offers this objective. They are also referred to as prototype autos, but should not be confused with prototype race autos such as the Le Mans Prototype.

Concept vehicles are often extreme in engine or layout.
