Here is a new lesson plan that I've been working on to help students recognize and create patterns.
It includes six "quizzes" ranging from easy to challenging:
1) What compes next? (Pattern of 2)
2) What is missing? (Pattern of 2)
3) What compes next? (Pattern of 3)
4) What is missing? (Pattern of 3)
5) What compes next? (Pattern of 4)
6) What is missing? (Pattern of 4)
Afterwards there are a couple of activities where students can create their own patterns. It also includes two printable worksheets.
I've tried to capture the features in this video. I hope it is clear.
I love to hear what you think of this lesson. If you have any comment or suggestions, please leave a reply.
