The Cassowary
The Cassowary is a very unique and weird bird found in Australia. In many ways, it resembles a dinosaur more than a bird.
First, Cassowaries are tall birds. They stand up to 6 feet tall and weigh over a 100 pounds
They have wings but they are not able to fly, but they can run and jump fast and far.
They can run up to 31 mph and jump up to 6 feet high.
The fastest human can only run 28 mph and most humans
The Cassowary have three toes and their second toe is a sharp claw.
They do not have tail feathers like many birds.
They also are very solitary birds. They live in the forest and live on fruit.
Finally, they have a large casque on their head.
Scientists don’t know exactly the purpose of the casque but it looks cool.
There is the Cassowary, a fruit eating, three-toed, fast, scary bird found in Australia.
