NASA's social media followers on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and other social networks were given a unique experience during a two day NASA Social to celebrate the 50th anniversary of NASA's Deep Space Network.
During a portion of the April 1 session, broadcast on NASA Television, attendees were at the agency's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for an inside look at the Space Flights Operations Facility, which is the mission control center of the Deep Space Network. The celebration wrapped up on April 2, at the Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex in California's Mojave Desert.
