Interactive video lesson plan for: Tension In Rope Between Two & Three Blocks - Accelerating System Physics

Activity overview:

This physics video tutorial shows you how to calculate the tension in the rope or string in between two masses or three blocks on a horizontal frictionless surface when the system is under constant acceleration by an applied force directed to the right. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems for you to work on. This video shows you how to calculate the net acceleration of the whole system and the net force on each block using newton's second law of motion. Using this information, one calculate the tension force and derive an equation / formula between the tension force in the rope, the applied force, and the mass of each block.
