Roger Corman earned the nickname "King of B-movies" for his output of low-budget films that went on to be commercial hits. He created his films quickly and cheaply, with his most notable films being "The Swamp," "The Little Shop of Horrors," and his Edgar Allan Poe Series. He is considered one of the top independent film directors of all time.
