Interactive video lesson plan for: NUMBEROCK Alligator - Message For Parents & Teachers

Activity overview:

? ?

Have you ever experienced the magic of hearing a song from the past, and somehow, after all that time, you remembered the lyrics? With NUMBEROCK's extremely catchy math tunes, you can now bring this transformative power directly to your students and help drive their memorization and mastery of key mathematical concepts to unprecedented levels.

WIth your trust, we can help you create an entertaining, multi-sensory learning environment and bring previously unimaginable amounts of energy and enthusiasm into your math lessons. You'll never have to compromise a fun lesson for an effective lesson as we have put significant thought into facilitating pure fun and emotional engagement, while never sacrificing the educational merit of the lesson. For example, all of the lyrics to our songs focus first around the learning goals of the concept it teaches, with the humorous and silly parts added strategically in order to keep the children's attention and make the teaching effective..

We cordially invite you to join us on our musical math journey by signing up to enjoy all the benefits of a full NUMBEROCK subscription while helping support us in our valiant attempt to animate a song for every single math standard/concept from Kindergarten - 6th Grade.

When you look at the entertainment that’s being produced for kids in games and movies, it’s no wonder that kids are starting to zone out in school. During the last 7 years as an elementary public school teacher, I’ve always tried to find new ways to capture my students’ full attention, especially for that one subject that gets such a notoriously bad rap in elementary school – math.

One day I brought my guitar in to school to play a song I’d written about Long Division that was accompanied by some simple animations I’d made. While not all my students liked the folk rock genre, I could tell I had everyone’s attention.

Soon I began writing songs in genres that my students actually listened to: rap, rock, pop, country, you name it. Parents would tell me that their kids were singing the songs in the car, at dinner, even teaching them to their siblings. Almost in disbelief that kids were singing my math songs for fun outside of school, I felt encouraged and inspired to keep writing.

Then, five years ago, I had one of those ‘AHA!’ moments: to write a song with an engaging animation for every math concept I had to teach. Altogether, from 2008 to now, I’ve written songs for nearly 70 concepts, 50 of which are now professionally animated.

I look forward to receiving any and all feedback from you. You are encouraged to post feedback in the comments below or e-mail as or, even if it is just to say hello.
