http://www.moomoomath.com/biotic-abiotic-factors-ecosystem.html
Abiotic factors are non-living, nor have they ever been alive.
Examples include,
Water
Fire
Ice
Soil
Temperature
Sunlight
Lightning
Biotic factors are living.
In order to be considered alive you must have each of the following factors
Made of cells
Contain DNA
Require energy
Reproduce
Respond to stimuli
Grow and Develop
Examples are
Plants
Animals
Fungi
Algae
Bacteria
An ecosystem is simply all of the abiotic and biotic factors in an area.
