Lesson for third-fourth graders: first we look at two patterns based on the multiplication tables of 4 and 8. Then Mathy (my mammoth mascot) and I solve a multiplication puzzle -- and in fact, find TWO solutions to it.
Students can solve the patterns and the puzzles while watching this video by thinking in their own minds, and possibly pausing the video for a moment. :)
