Stage 4 might have looked on paper as a relatively flat stage but the peloton was greeted with a steep accent to the finish line in Vejer De La Frontera. Alejandro Valverde crossed the line first after some brave solo attacks up to the line including Team Sky rider Nicholas Roche.
