This research-to-practice bridge event webinar, “Building Biliteracy Instruction, Programs, and Services,” was hosted by the Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Southwest on July 27, 2015. The webinar provides an overview of evidence-based instructional services, programs, and interventions to support English learners’ biliteracy development. Key topics include native language literacy, second language literacy, and oracy development.
The webinar is in two parts. Part 2 of 2, the main presentation, is presented by Elsa Cárdenas-Hagan, Ed.D., the director of the Valley Speech Language and Learning Center, and an associate research professor at the University of Houston, Brownsville, Texas.
