Information expressed in a mathematical form , using the symbols of the mathematical operations, is called a mathematical expression.Algebra is a branch of Mathematics where we use letters of the alphabet along with numbers to form mathematical expressions.Usually unknown numbers are represented by letters.
For example:Perimeter (p)of a square = 4 times the length of a side (l) of square.
Tus, p = 4 * l.
As the length of the side of the square changes ,the perimeter of the square also changes.
Here,p and l are variables and 4 is a constant.
