This bridge event webinar, “Supporting Hispanic Students Preparing for STEM Careers,” was hosted by the Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Southwest on September 24, 2015. The webinar presents research on factors that influence Hispanic students’ success in attaining science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) degrees, as well as strategies to support Hispanic students in preparing for college in STEM disciplines.
The webinar is in four parts. Part 2 of 4 is the Researcher Presentation: The Impact of Cognitive and Psychosocial Factors on Hispanic College Student Success. The presenter is Dr. Amaury Nora, professor of higher education and associate dean of research in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
