During my almost eight years as Treasurer of the United States, I had the privilege of leading the efforts to place a woman on the front of our U.S. currency for the first time in our nation’s history. As part of that process, I quickly learned about the hundreds of American women who had made great contributions to the history of this country.
Through this playlist, you will learn about the courage, strength and persistence that defined these women. As we 'Count Up' to August 26, 2020, the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment granting women the right to vote, let us take this journey of honoring the women who made this country great. March is Women’s History Month, but this is just the beginning. This is not HIStory…or HERstory. This OUR story.
