During a news conference at the Wallops Visitor Center Thursday September 5 and televised on NASA TV, scientists and managers with the LADEE (Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer) mission provided a final pre-launch status of the mission.
LADEE is a robotic mission that will orbit our moon to gather detailed information about the structure and composition of the lunar atmosphere and determine if dust is being lofted into the lunar sky.
This research will help us better understand other bodies in the solar system.
