(November 11, 2009) The Afiara String Quartet, graduate string quartet in residence at the Julliard School, performs at Stanford as part of the St. Lawrence String Quartet Emerging String Quartet Program.
The St. Lawrence String Quartet Emerging String Quartet Program (ESQP) provides intensive training workshops to emerging string quartets on the skills, execution, development, presentation, and organization of community outreach programs. They seek to plant seeds for young ensembles when returning to their home communities to foster similar programs and connections.
