In this example we explore the concepts used in basic trigonometry.
We look at the trigonometric functions: sine, cosine, and tangent used to work out sides and angles in right angle triangles - and their application to a math problem.
You will learn the following steps -
1. Labelling the sides - opposite, adjacent and hypotenuse,
2. Determining which trig function should be used - SOHCAHTOA - (sin = opposite / hypotenuse,
cos = adjacent / hypotenuse, tan = opposite / hypotenuse)
3. Substitution of values.
By going though all the trigonomic functions this video will help you master this topic - through the use of a few math tricks!
