http://www.educationandskillsforum.org

The teacher masterclass was designed to transport you into the classroom of the top ten finalists of the 2016 Global Teacher Prize. The methods, pedagogy, and outstanding contributions to the profession made by these extraordinary instructions reinforces the pivotal role played by teachers in education around the globe.

In this session, we hear from Colin Hegarty, who quit his City job at the accountancy firm Deloitte and took a significant pay cut to pursue greater job satisfaction in the classroom.

By day you’ll find him teaching GCSE and A-level mathematics in London to 11-18 year olds and by night he creates award-winning maths videos which have received over 5 million views online.

Not only has he been awarded the National UK Teacher of the Year Prize, Colin was also a Top 10 Finalist in the Global Teacher Prize.

Join this masterclass with Colin. You might just find that equations can be empowering.
