The Structural FrameStructural – artworks that are usually non representational or that have strong symbolic value. Often based directly on aesthetics and visual qualities (a.k.a elements and principles of design)

How do we recognise a Structural Frame Artwork?Questions to ask yourself about artworks that could be a part of the Structural Frame:

What form is the artwork?
What is its visual plan?
What elements and principles are the most prominent?
What materials and processes are used and how are these important to the appearance of the artwork?
What are the codes, symbols or signs used in the work?
