I saw no need for start or end plates on this one. Indeed, do I ever really need them?
I seldom wave my arms about this much.
Comments have reached a consensus that the Firefly universe of human habitation is a complicated multi-star system with many habitable planets and moons (this, however, is not firmly established in the film or the television series, and may be solely the product of the later role-play game). If this is true, and space-flight is so quick between the spheres, then it does seem odd that such a massive disaster can occur on a planet in the system, populated by millions, many being recent settlers, and yet no one knows about this. It is the equivalent of everyone in Belgium's dying and this going unreported on Earth.
