In this GCSE Biology revision video, Hazel focusses on the new AQA specification, chapter 5.
She takes you through the topic of communicable diseases including examples of viruses, bacteria, fungi, and protists such as measles, salmonella, tobacco mosaic virus, rose black spot, gonorrhoea, HIV and malaria. She then goes into the ways in which animals and plants prevent pathogen entry and how pathogens may be attacked (including lymphocytes, phagocytes).

Hazel completed her undergraduate degree at St John's College, the University of Cambridge. She then did a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate of Education) before qualifying as a science teacher. She now works full time as a professional tutor.
