James Recommends Deck Heroes, a free-to-play collectible card game (CCG) that takes an interesting approach to keeping old cards relevant and encouraging the player to try new strategies. Like so many mobile CCGs, Deck Heroes allows players to crunch cards they don't want in order to level up the ones they do. As their deck expands and the cards they leveled early no longer have a place in their main deck, Deck Heroes makes them useful again by offering the player access to a special area called the Gauntlet. Cards lost in the Gauntlet remain lost until the end of the run or go on cooldown, forcing the players to turn to the the rest of their deck if they want to continue their run.
