Greatest Common Factor and Lowest Common Multiple are often confused with one another. Listing the multiples of 5 yields 5, 10, 15, 20, etc -- so how many multiples of 5 are there? A LOT -- infinite as opposed to how many factors of 5 are there? Just 1 and 5.
The first example was 12 and 18 so LCM(12, 18) is 36 and GCF(12. 18) is 6.
Two methods were used: the slide method and the Venn diagram method.
Then LCM(11,18) and GCF(11,18) were discussed.
